"Please put your fingers in me," Gloria said in a rush. "Please, please, please."
This was not the Gloria I knew. This was Gloria the Bimbo, who could
not think straight unless she was being filled. We'd just met. "Please, I
need that," she said.
Gentleman that I am, I complied. Also, it was the only way to get her to settle down. She settled.
"What if my fingers weren't available? What would you otherwise do?"
"I'd find the closest thing within reach," she said, calmly. "It's what I need. This hunger is really strong."
Naturally, I pulled my fingers out, to see what would happen.
Gloria gasped, looked hurriedly around, grabbed the telephone
handset, and swiftly shoved most of it inside. It was well-embedded, an
impromptu G-spot dildo. I reached down and disconnected the curly cord
for her.
This is why I love personality play -- to see who you are and what
you're capable of doing, when I've isolated and distilled one narrow
aspect of your character. You see, Gloria the Whole is strong,
independent and smart, but all those things can disappear in a flash
with some creative subtraction. In this case, I had suggested that
Gloria the Whole still existed, but only when she was sliding something
into herself. The rest of her existence became an addict's desperate
need to do the filling, to stay whole.
In personality play, the results depend entirely on what you've
removed. A few minutes earlier, I had met Gloria the Sex Servant, after
subtracting her awareness of who, what, when and where -- but leaving
intact all her memories of sexually pleasing people, whoever they were.
As far as this Gloria knew, she had a single mission in life, she was
trained for it, and she was very good at it. This utter devotion to
service, and her ability to deliver on that, made her feel very calm and
secure.
There is a strength and authenticity to these personalities that goes
well beyond role-playing or acting out fantasies. Instead I am helping
a subject to temporarily unveil one real component of their complex
whole. It's akin to a sculptor's notion of exposing the object trapped
inside a piece of stone. The results are pure and powerful, if a little
stereotyped.
For instance, a trance partner I'll call Lillith is one of the most
progressive, flexible and uninhibited people I know. Yet at one point in
her life she embraced fundamentalist Christianity. Today's Lillith has
no apparent traces of that trait. But it's still in there somewhere. And
when I switch off everything else she knows and believes, out pops the
fiercest, most sincere gospel thumper you have ever met. Hell, she even
converses in lines from scripture. I mockingly call her Bible Lady, but
seriously she is one scary true believer. (She is quite sure I'm Satan.)
Or, I can filter Lillith's life collection of ideas an entirely
different way, leaving only this one notion she once found useful, that
the man must always be treated as though he's infallible. Bingo: She is a
fair replica of a Stepford wife.
"You're good at that. You're good at everything," the Stepford wife says breathily. (As I am doing evil things to her breasts.)
I learned a lot of this approach from another trance partner, who
through hypnosis has identified parts of her own personality that
specialize in her beauty, creativity, lust and so forth. In her case,
the filtering is achieved by a novel method: fisting her to different
depths. Summoning each facet in turn makes for a wild evening for
everyone.
How can you call out one of these personalities?
First, I recommend this only for people with strong core
personalities, who will be confident of returning, whole, afterward.
It's unwise to play this game with someone whose self-identity is
already subject to fragmentation.
Second, take advantage of the Global Suggestion, so you can fully
discuss this with both the subconscious and the conscious self
beforehand. Work out any concerns or details before you put the filters
in place. Use clear and unique start/stop triggers.
Third, start with simple filters, to see how they play out. "Anal sex
has never occurred to you before." "You are aroused now only in the
garage." "Nudity still makes you blush."
Fourth, talk it over afterward. Gloria the Whole is still trying to wrap her head around Gloria the Bimbo.

Assembling a scene
Hypnotists, you know that confidence is key. And when you bring someone out of that initial trance, it's good to know beforehand which wild-ass effects are likely to work for that person.
That knowledge is not so accessible with "ordinary" hypnosis. But the Global Suggestion gives you a way to inventory the nearly limitless possibilities.
Depending on the person you're playing with, the subconscious may have control over just a few aspects of the conscious self -- or many of them.
So, to find out efficiently what you have to play with, you can ask the subconscious about the handful of physical and mental "components" or building blocks from which almost any scene can be built.
"Are you able to control her arousal? Her sensations? Her emotions? Her body? Can you make her hear things, see things, taste things, smell things? Can you block a memory? Create a memory?" The subconscious usually knows what they can do, can't do, or might be able to do with some practice.
Then the answers to those questions can guide the effects you choose for your scenes -- with some confidence that they will work.
Even a small set of controls can be turned into hours of fun. For instance, let's see what you could do with some of those single modes, used by themselves.
Control over the body: Turn them into a doll, or robot, or piece of art, for objectification of any sort. Pose them in public, in support of exhibitionism or humiliation. Bondage of course is simple. So is endless helpless sex. (As a photographer, I can vouch for the blessing of having a subject so frozen that she does not even blink.)
Control over arousal: Play with orgasm amplification, control, or denial. Launch them into the land beyond orgasm. Eroticize any object, touch, sight, sound or smell, in any combination or sequence. (Someone I know responds quite intensely to the sight of a particular green ballpoint pen, because that's all that was within reach at the time.)
Control over sensation: Deliver pleasure or torment with warm showers or cold showers, tingling or electric shocks, spankings or canings, lemonade or just lemons. Make them feel like they're nude. Or swimming. Or flying. (I play a lot with synesthesia, deliberately converting a touch to a favorite flavor or remapping a painful sensation as pleasurable.)
Control over memory: Temporarily hide awareness of parts of your scene: Forget inserting the dildo, forget that anyone else is in the room, forget moving to the couch, forget being hypnotized at all. (In one of my recent demos, a fully awake subject spent half the time topless, entirely unaware of it until I told her to look at her breasts.)
Control over images: We're in the mall. No, we're in the street. No, we're in your office. Look outside, it's sunny with palm trees. Now it's snowing pink snow. There's a rose on your desk. OMG, look at what's on your TV. Where'd your underwear go? (One of my favorite mindfucks: "When you open your eyes, all the colors will be reversed.")
Most people have control over more than one of these modes. It's most powerful to combine them in complementary ways, for instance having them hold and taste an object (blindfold them if they can't see the illusion anyway), or putting your objectified nude sculpture on display in a glass case at the library (if they can't hear illusory sounds).
At this point, any limitations are not those of the subconscious but of your imagination.

Going global
I should have been nervous. For any number of reasons.
Because, in fact, we'd rehearsed the global suggestion the night before, with LadyA's husband and a professional hypnotist as our audience.
The global suggestion boils down to a simple single instruction to the subconscious: "When your conscious self is awake and alert, pay attention to what I tell her, and make it happen."
LadyA's subconscious mind had grasped the concept almost immediately, and proved adept at controlling behavior, body and mind long after LadyA was again awake and alert.
The subconscious was so good that, after we were done, she was able to remove from LadyA's conscious mind any detailed memories of the rehearsal.
So when we sat facing each other at the front of a dim room at the convention, LadyA really didn't know what was about to happen.
After a few minutes of "pre-induction" talk, I explained to her, and the audience, that her subconscious was about to carry out whatever instructions I came up with. I started slow, telling her that her breasts were getting warm, then that her nipples were getting hard. She checked. They were. Then I added fingers sliding up her legs, a throbbing somewhere in the middle, and so on. She was enjoying them all. Usually this takes longer.
I wanted her to go into trance, so the audience could meet her subconscious, but she was on the edge of orgasm already. So -- the global suggestion is perfect for those decisions made on the fly -- I merged her orgasm and her trance launch. Her body vibrated impressively, then went calm, and I said, as I always do, "Hello subconscious."
After confirming with LadyA's subconscious that she could control sensations, body and mind, and giving her some examples of what I might be doing, I brought LadyA back. My point was to show that a creative hypnotist now can combine sensations, illusions and behaviors into whatever random scene they want to concoct. Because of the setting, most of these turned out to be sexy -- my favorite was having her undressing, unaware, while discussing something else entirely.
One challenge in any hypnosis demonstration is that skeptics can often say, "Oh, you're not hypnotized, you're just doing that to please the hypnotist." I think that was solved when, long into the scene, she interrupted to complain about her breasts. "They're so hot, they're sweating. Can you turn that off?" Oops, I'd forgotten to undo my very first command. Another advantage of my method is that you can fix things like that with a word or two.
It was an intense hour, and it was over before the audience ran out of questions. LadyA and her husband disappeared, back to their hotel room, where I am confident that the experiments continued.
I received a terrific email a few days later from one of the hypnotists in the audience. Corny as it may sound, this is the real effect I was trying to achieve:
"It gave me quite a bit to think about, and quite a bit to try."
- I was about to demonstrate my "global suggestion" method in public for the first time, at an erotic hypnosis convention.
- I really wanted them to get it. I'm proud of this technique, and the power that comes from directly enlisting and conversing with the subconscious. I want others in the word of erotic hypnosis to check it out.
- I sensed that most of the people here were into hypnosis for the trance itself -- while my method is all about the days, weeks and months that follow a short introductory trance.
- I had just an hour to describe, demonstrate and discuss it.
- My enthusiastic volunteer subject? I'd just met LadyA the day before. She had no idea what was expected of her.

Do you remember?
Turning the tables on her husband K, hypnoslave c has hypnotized him a couple of times recently. She sends his conscious mind off somewhere, to the pub I suppose, while she talks with his subconscious. It's his voice, but ... sounds nothing like him. The main challenge is that his subconscious just isn't very interested in her games. "No, don't wanna do it" seems to be one of its favorite phrases.
But his subconscious did go along with one adventure. She was able to give K an erotic scene with another woman, while he lay tranced in bed one day. Unlike c, who writhes around and cries out during hypno sex, K just lay there, she says. But she knows the scene took hold in his mind. Next day he came home and reported in all seriousness that it had occurred that day. She plans to break the news to him soon that one of his more vivid memories was entirely a creation of her wicked imagination.
Planted memories are one of the more powerful uses of hypnosis. For a long time, I was not very imaginative about the possibilities. I planted all sorts of silly memories (someone who would never do so reporting having eaten at McDonald's... someone else who would never do so reporting peeing in desperation in a ditch), but I didn't put the power to much good use.
Then I was faced with an interesting request one day. A hypnosub I'd known for a while was going to meet up with a woman friend. She knew the friend had the hots for her. She wanted to make love with her friend, but was very, very nervous. And when she gets nervous, she freezes up. Could I help her get over her inhibitions?
The problem, I realized, was not anything about bisexuality. My friend was just very nervous about doing it the first time. So the solution was simple. I made it be her second time.
I gave her a ready-made memory of the first time she had had sex with a woman. It was years ago, I decided, with a woman she'd known slightly at the time. It involved a late night and some alcohol, so the memory didn't have to be too vivid. She just needed to know that she and another woman had pleased each other quite happily once before.
Now the trick with planted memories is not to draw attention to them. Raise no suspicions. Let them lie there, like an ordinary memory, waiting to be accessed when appropriate. Sure enough, on her way out the door to her first date with a woman, she told me how much she was looking forward to her second date with a woman.
They had a wonderful time.

The Sound of Silence
Here's a powerful effect that boils down to a simple idea: Don't let your subject hear what you're saying.
I'll explain more in a moment, but here's how Geneva, whom I play with online from a thousand miles away, describes the feeling.
"When I first started talking to D online, I was skeptical about how well the hypnosis thing would work for me. I soon found out just how well it does work. In the beginning I heard each word He said. He would talk to me and help me to relax. Then suggest experiences that would become very real to me. I did come to love His voice… pardon the pun. He has taken my mind to places I've never been, as well as helped me to revisit places I have, and that I miss.
Here's how it came about. Geneva loves the sensations and gyrations and visual illusions that I tell her subconscious to produce. But it finally occurred to me that these effects were being 'filtered' a bit, as she would first hear me give a command, then have a few moments to think about it consciously before it occurred. So it was still a little artificial.
How much more vivid, I wondered, if she never saw it coming?
A lot more vivid, it turns out.
I told her subconscious: From now on, any time I give a specific instruction for Geneva to feel or do, just carry it out without letting her conscious mind grasp the words.
Now, in mid-conversation with me, without warning, she finds herself flying. Or bent over the couch. Or strung up somewhere. Or serving anonymous strangers. I direct the scene with a few words, but her subconscious fills in all the blanks -- and all her holes.
"I hear you, but I don't hear you," is how she describes it. "And sometimes you're completely gone."
Then I tried the same effect with LG. Even after I described it, she was pretty skeptical. In deepest trance she uses the sound of my voice, if not my actual words, as a sort of lifeline that she holds on to. She thought she couldn't give up on the sound of my voice. Also, her subconscious happens to resist any instructions that aren't directly related to sex, food or sleep, and memory play has never really worked.
Well. Turned out that LG's subconscious was interested after all. After a few words of instruction, and waking LG up again, I'm now able to give her verbal instructions that she can't hear at all, and simply experiences without warning. The gasps of amazement are worth all the trouble.
Has anyone else tried the same thing?

"My sexual experiences under hypnosis have been phenomenal! But my experiences have changed. Where I used to hear every word spoken, now His words seem to melt into the experiences. Yes, melt is a good description. I will be talking with Him and suddenly His voice is melting into me. It's as if I can actually feel it. I am transported from where I sit to another place. I can see, hear, feel things that weren't there the moment before. I hear Him… but I don't at the same time."
The key to the technique is for the subconscious to be able to block memories. (I know that's something that c's subconscious does readily, and so did e's. Geneva's subconscious turns out to be able to do that too.)Here's how it came about. Geneva loves the sensations and gyrations and visual illusions that I tell her subconscious to produce. Going Blank
For all the clever 'effects' that I tried out on LG a few weeks ago, I think her favorite one was outwardly the least impressive. I held my hands apart, and then brought them slowly together, telling her to watch them, instructing her consciousness to evaporate as my hands got closer and closer. By the time my hands were an inch apart, she could no longer speak. By the time they touched, she was staring utterly blankly at them, all expression erased.
"Think of a camera iris," she said later. "A circle that sort of twisted as it got smaller, and then winked out."
During the several minutes that she was absent, she looked to me like a frozen statue, staring at the wall, completely unresponsive. Inside, she said, the only sensation that came through was the sound of my voice maintaining a thread of contact, although there was no meaning in the sounds.
She loved it. "No need to be, do, anything. Total lack of responsibility."
She loved it so much that she asked me to install a trigger. Now, whenever she is feeling tense, she can use her magic word to instantly induce a complete relaxation that eventually blends into a nap or sleep.
I love the effect, too. There's something so completely powerful in just switching someone's brain off with a word, leaving them as a blank statue or puppet. And yet it's so different from the usual hypnotic effect, which is all about dramatic behavior or sensations.
It turns out we have a lot of company. When you're done here, visit my colleagues Lex and Mirehn and see what they've been up to. They and their subjects also have discovered the pleasures of blanking.
In my case, I can think of three or four subjects who've responded well to going blank, whether it was over the phone or in person. All seemed to have tensions in their lives, and turmoil in their minds, that they just couldn't switch off otherwise. One begged me to keep her blank for much longer, and moaned at the pain of returning thoughts as they flooded back afterward. I still can't forget the look on the face of Deborah, one of my more intense subjects, who last summer craved nothing more than long stretches of blankness. I secretly gave her a little present; she would go blank whenever she sat on the toilet and peed. I confess it may have started a new obsession for her.
Then there was Shelly. After a few in-person demonstrations, she asked for a trigger to use at home, and chose her own trigger word: "bliss." I haven't heard from her since.

Getting the Point

It's been far too long since a submissive offered a report on one of my in-person scenes. Let's change that right now. Her name is LG, I've hypnotized her both online and in person, and this is the report she wrote for a sub friend of hers:
"Here's the photo of me with the needles in my breast. I know you're going to need an explanation, because I am such a wuss about pain. The answer is very simple and very complicated at the same time.
"The simple answer is that D told me it wouldn't hurt, and it didn't. The complicated answer is that somehow he has managed to get into my head and not only turn off pain but bring it back as well. We've done this in person, obviously, but also just online. He's asked me to put clothes pins right on my nipple and then made the pain disappear and reappear - slowly, gradually as he counted.
"I can sort of understand this kind of thing. But what I can not understand is how he has pictures of me outside in places I know I have never been. Yeah, I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. I have no memory at all, but I must have ridden in his car to get there. And until I asked him today, I didn't even know what sort of car he drove!!
"It's sort of the ultimate submission - I don't even have to think about being obedient; I just am."
"As for the needles, I really don't have much of a memory of how he did it - just some rather disconnected sounds and feelings. I can remember the sound of him opening the package with the needle in it. I can feel his hand squeezing my breast and a sharp prick. I think I gasped. I'm reasonably sure he said "Good girl". I know it happened 4 times because I can see the needles in the picture. I do remember asking him to take the pictures. But the whole procedure is definitely fuzzy.
"Maybe you should ask him to fill in the blanks. After all he was there - even if only part of me was.

Spanking Hypnosis
There's been entirely too little BDSM around here.
So let me tell you about a new technique I've developed, with the assistance of a woman named Darlene.
Darlene has been in and out of BDSM for a dozen years. She's enthusiastic, but her tolerance level is fairly low. Sharp pain, loud noise, anything too intense seems to kick her back out of sub space and into reality pretty quickly.
But she's intrigued by hypnosis, and the more we've played hypno games the more interesting things have become.
I met her subconscious, Nina, early on, as I usually do these days. Nina lacks many of Darlene's inhibitions, and Darlene when informed of this said I was welcome to play with Nina anytime I could. I used my usual triggers. But Nina didn't seem able to stay out and chat or play for very long; Darlene would step back out front.
How to get Nina out for more than few minutes? I discovered the answer by accident.
At the club one night, Darlene was strapped face-down to a padded table, and I was spanking her, from her lower back to her calves, up and down, over and over, with gradually increasing intensity. I started very lightly, since I didn't want to hit her limit right away. Each set of spanks, I cranked up the intensity or the speed. Each time, she took it without even flinching. She just lay there, eyes closed, stoic. Eventually, I was pounding away without much concern at all. And she raised her bottom up a bit, as though she wanted even more.
Finally, I figured it out. I leaned over by her head and said, "Who's there?" "Nina."
Nina stayed out for a while longer, while we kept playing at high intensity.
Later that night, Darlene was strapped to the cross, facing outward, blindfolded. With the flogger, I worked over her entire front. By the time I was landing loud splats on her breasts, I realized I was well beyond Darlene's limits. "Who's there?" I asked. Same answer as before.
Clearly, at some point in the pain escalation, Darlene has found a way to just absent herself, and Nina slips in to take her place. It's not a standard hypnotic induction, but it works for me.
Now it's a regular part of a scene with Darlene. Most recently I turned the backs of her legs pink with a cane... knowing full well that just a few strokes into the scene, it was Nina in front of me. This time, I let her stay out after we finished, and we chatted and played some more for an hour or so.
When Darlene came back, she looked around and clearly wondered what on earth she'd been up to. Nina thoughtfully replayed the memory for her... and Darlene got a very happy look on her face.

Try This 1
In response to a couple of requests for tricks to try ... here are a few that all involve memory.
Turns out the subconscious mind is pretty good at blocking little memories from the conscious mind. It works so reliably that I often use it during the very first session with a new subject. It's sometimes the subject's first clear evidence that she's actually been hypnotized.
During the initial trance, here's what I tell the subconscious:
"After Sally wakes up, you'll block her memory of the number 6. She won't be able to remember or use the number 6."
Soon after Sally wakes up, feeling refreshed and relaxed but otherwise unclear on what's just happened, I say, "Hold out both your hands and count your fingers out loud from 1 to 10."
There is usually at least a long pause after 5, and often something like, "Hey … what did you do?"
You can elaborate on that basic trick in all sorts of ways. With a few simple instructions to the subconscious in advance…
"Let's play a game. Slap your pussy 10 times, counting out loud. When you reach 10, you may orgasm."
"1 … 2 … 3 … … Hey… um…"
"Start again."
"1 … 2 … 3 … 4 … 5 … uh … damn you …"
"Start again."
"1 … 2 … 3 … 4 … 5 … it's turning pink. … 6 … 7 … argggh! Please?"
"OK, it should work this time."
"1 … 2 … 3 …4 … 5 … 6 … 7 …. 8 … 9 … 9 …. 9 … 9 … 10" Followed by loud, unintelligible sounds.
Another elaboration blocks the same numbers, but with a different effect.
"OK, hold out both your hands. Count your fingers from 10 down to 1. As you say each number, you will lose it, you will forget it, it will slip from your mind."
By the time she gets down to zero, she will still be awake and aware, but remarkably unable to answer your questions, about numbers or much else. It's a very calm, serene place for the mind to be for a few minutes.
Let me know if you find these useful!

Lara's Night Out
If you were out on the town Saturday night and happened to see a woman dressed, armed, and acting convincingly as Lara Croft, carousing with a dozen or so of her friends, then you were witness to one of the more elaborate posthypnotic illusions I've ever heard of. For nearly 12 hours, hypnoslave c was Lara Croft, and no one dared tell her otherwise.
The story began months ago, when c declared that her wish for her birthday was to go out partying with all her friends, dressed as her favorite character. (She is obsessed with Lara Croft, even more so than with Jack Sparrow.)
Her husband K agreed, and started quietly conspiring with c's subconscious, Megan, to make it an even more memorable night than c was expecting. He and Megan watched the films, played the games, and added musical cues to c's phone.
So for the past few months, while c was innocently telling me about her efforts to assemble a full Lara outfit (including black wig and toy guns), K and Megan were telling me about their parallel plan to hypnotically convince c that she was not just in character, she really was Lady Croft, and keep her utterly in that role for the whole night.
Saturday night, after c completed getting dressed up, and started walking downstairs to meet her friends, she felt her toy guns get heavier against her thighs. Her house turned into Croft Manor, and at the bottom of the stairs she introduced herself to all these unknown visitors as Lady Croft.
"It sounds weird," c says, "but I was Lara Croft."
Out on the town, the illusion just got more intense. Every time K sent her a text on her phone, the theme played and she became even more Lara-like. She walked (legs spread) like Angelina Jolie. She pursued a villain down the streets (onlookers' camera phones snapping). In a bar, she put her gun to a man's head and said she'd shoot him if he didn't give her what she wanted. "What do you want?" he asked. "For you to leave me alone," she said.
Remarkably, one of the bartenders pulled out a BB gun, handed it to her, and urged her to shoot at some bottles. (Megan reports that getting c to shoot straight was one of the more challenging parts of the night.) She broke one out of three.
Later, back home, Lara walked into one of her games. "That was hard," Megan says. "Lots of vines and grass and dinosaurs all needed to be factored in ... things for her to jump on, things for her to shoot."
She fell asleep around 4 am as Lara, and woke late in the morning as herself again.
c still sounds dazed and amazed by the experience. Megan, exhausted with the effort, says, "It's nice to give her something that no one else can."

London Adventures
Live near London? You should look up Gabrielle, a 30-year-old who by her own account is one of the more adventurous hypnosis subjects you'll meet. She loves it when guys show her subconscious a good time.
Here's a sample scene report:
The full report is here, although you need to be a Yahoo member and log in to read it.
Chat with her via text, and if you're nice she'll tell you her trigger word ...
Here's a sample scene report:
It all started when I heard a knock on the door, next thing I was in my silver catsuit suspended between two chairs orgasming as I stared at this most amazing spot on the ceiling...
I came awake in a bar and it seemed I was ordering drinks. I paid and tried to take the drinks back to the table (which table I have no idea, but I seemed to know where it was), except every bloody step made me feel like I was being fucked, no joke, it was like a thrust into me...
Ever had sex suspended in mid air? Its amazing, I had sex with him about 200 metres off the ground and it was great to be so high.

Sensation Seeker
Eventually you learn how to wow them.
After leaving c somewhat underwhelmed by her experience with the silverware tray, I made a point of asking her what sort of waking illusion she'd really enjoy.
A rollercoaster, she said. There's one at a Six Flags resort -- she'd watched an online demo that particularly impressed her -- that she'd really like to ride someday.
I asked her to describe the ride in some detail. Something about lying down flat and spinning upside down, but I didn't pay much attention. I figured Megan her subconscious was taking notes.
OK, I said, maybe I can arrange something sometime.
Then I told her to forget that we'd talked about it. "Talked about what?" she said. Damn, that Megan is good.
Days passed, and c and I kept missing opportunities to connect again. I teased her a couple of times by saying that I had something special for her, that would take just a couple of minutes.
Finally yesterday she texted me to say she had a few minutes free. I wasn't near the computer, so I just phoned her.
I understand you're fond of Six Flags rollercoasters, I said, to give Megan a chance to cue it up. "Whaaat? How do you know that?" c said. Never mind, I said. You're going for a ride. Now.
"Whooooooah," c said. And "good thing I really like spinning around" and "Usually I close my eyes at this point, but I don't want to" and "whooooah" several times and "shhhhhhh" like she was shouting through clenched teeth and "I think I'm going to be sick." A few seconds later the ride ended, probably to avoid an accident.
"That was great!" c kept saying. "I loved it!"
Today's bottom line: Do your market research.

Memory and Mind Control
One of our regular visitors asked whether we'd noticed any commands or instructions diminishing over time, and whether I need to reinforce the older ones.
That's interesting, because it's basically a test of the memory of e's subconscious, marion, to see how long she can keep something going between reminders.
So far, with one interesting exception, we haven't noticed any lapses or declines. But the way I've set up her commands may have helped us avoid the problem.
I know some other doms and dommes install many different "triggers" in their hypnotic subs. Typically the way you do this, while your subject is in a trance, is to give instructions of this sort: "After you're awake, whenever I say the word 'starfish,' you will feel an intense tingling in your genitals."
That's fine, unless you build up a huge catalog of trigger words, each with its own set of effects. I don't have experience with this, and I'd be curious to hear from others, but I would bet that you could overload some subconsciouses with too many seldom-used commands. (On the other hand, the two subconsciouses I know both tell me that they have unusually good memories.)
With e, the permanent commands aren't too numerous. There are the permanent physical effects in place -- her labia rings for instance -- which are reinforced through constant awareness. And her daily compulsions are not likely to be forgotten.
I do have a smaller set of shortcut words I use for some of her illusion scenes, which marion has memorized. For instance, one of e's favorite scenes has her being penetrated in three places at once, but unable to orgasm. There's a single word for that.
Another shortcut word sends her immediately into the woods, where she is strapped nude with her back against the rough bark of a treee, subject to my torments.
The vast majority of my effects are a different sort, and don't require much memorization. A long time ago when e was in a trance I told her that, after she was awake, she would obey any instruction preceded by a particular trigger word. I now use that word many times a day, for whatever whim is on my mind right then. It's so much easier than installing separate triggers for each one.
The one command whose effects have changed over time is a very old one. When I was busy wrapping e's life in traces of me, I told her that all voices on her car radio would be mine. For weeks, that was true -- I covered every song, I read the news and the ads. Then she came back from a trip, and oddly enough I now was filling in only for the male voices. That's the way it still is today.
I asked her subconscious about that yesterday. Turns out it was something that marion did on her own, an act of mercy. It was making e feel really weird to hear me as a woman. She much prefers me as a man.
Works for me.

A Pleasure Rediscovered
It was a sunny day, so i went for a walk to the park this afternoon. When i got there, i noticed some strange-looking seats attached to chains. Clearly, i had no idea what they were for.
Now, i did think this was a little strange, since i’ve been going to the park my entire life and it seemed like i really should know what they were. As i was standing there pondering what to do next, D showed up out of thin air.
This should have seemed odd, but i think in the last few months my sense of ‘odd’ has been skewed a bit, so i just went with it. He came over and gave me a hug and led me toward the strange apparatus.
"Sit down and hold on e," he said. "Let me show you how this works."
So i sat, held on, and held my breath, waiting to see what would happen next. All of a sudden i was being pushed through the air, D’s hands pressing against my back each time i fell backwards out of the sky. i started to giggle and grin ... "Hey, this is pretty fun."
"Pump your legs back and forth e, it will make you go higher."
Each trip back and forth brought me closer to the clouds, laughing, smiling, free and happy. With the wind rushing through my hair and the sun on my face, i didn’t think things could get much better.
My stomach was all fluttery from the 'new' sensation of semi-weightlessness each time i peaked at the top of my ride. The feeling started to travel lower and lower, and my giggles and grins turned to moans and whimpers.
Looking around as my face started to flush, i was relieved to see the rest of the park basically empty. I swung higher and higher, pumping my legs, D watching from the side ... smirking. Panting and wiggling, i pressed my thighs together tightly, closed my eyes and came hard, my hands wrapped snugly around the chains of the swing.

Taking Trips
With all the impressive effects available to the creative hypnotist, it's easy to overlook one of the nicest things you can do for your hypnoslave: Send her on a little vacation.
Just 10 minutes elsewhere, utterly elsewhere, will do wonders for the soul, especially since these trips require no packing, no passports, no travel time at all. They are simply the essence of the trip, served up with a few words.
So far, e has found herself
* on her favorite rollercoaster ride (sitting alongside her brother, an unexpected feature),
* sledding on a snowy mountaintop.
* face down on a massage table.
* on a yacht in mid-ocean.
* tied naked against a tree, in a thick forest.
* on a warm, sandy beach.
That last is her favorite destination; she has a number of beaches she prefers, particularly one on Oahu.
I find it works best to specify as little as possible about the destination. Her own mind (or maybe it's her subconscious, I'll have to ask sometime) fills in all the missing details from memory.
I've sometimes resorted to showing her some photographs first, and then placing her in the scene. Those are especially useful for complicated BDSM scenes that I'd like her to experience. She has a good memory for those sorts of details.
But occasionally I don't specify anything at all, and simply tell her to spend 10 minutes at a "random somewhere." So far, these rolls of the dice have never come up losers. She's never landed in an industrial swamp for 10 minutes. Still, we try to reserve this command for when she's in a good, confident mood.
One variant, when time is short, is to tell her subconscious to compress the 10 minute experience into 1 minute of real time. So far, that hasn't harmed the experience. When I ask e afterward how long her trip lasted, she usually estimates pretty close to the intended time..
I know many hypnotists use this sort of illusion when their subject is in trance. But I rarely plan that far ahead. So I'm much more likely to use the general post-hypnotic trigger I've installed, and while she's awake tell her on the spur of the moment to fly away somewhere.
She always comes back with a smile on her face.

The Mind Behind (Part 3)
While e was off on a trip somewhere the other day, I was chatting with her subconscious about something that intrigued me.
"People everywhere wonder about the nature of the subconscious," I said. "It must be interesting to you, to know and not be able to tell them."
"People will find out when they're supposed to ... when they ask the right questions," she said. "Like You, now."
No kidding. I've been asking her, seemingly nonstop, questions about the subconscious and the rest of the mind, ever since I realized that all I needed to do was inquire. And, with my friend K's help, I've been asking the same of his sub c's subconscious.
Together, all six (!) of us have been learning a lot about the varied personalities behind the mind games.
It's based on a sample of two, I realize, but here for now are my findings.
Both c2 and e2 [sorry for the awkward names, we're doing our best here] have been around since infancy and grew up along with the conscious person. Both have slightly better memories, particularly noticeable with early conversations ("I recall Dad singing") and life events.
"I can remember her first ice cream, she's only heard the story," e2 says.
"I remember her first memory vividly," c2 says, "She and her best friend cutting each other's hair at 1.5 years old. She recalls the actual cutting, I remember the conversation."
e was not aware of e2's existence, but c knew about c2 for a few years during childhood, when c2 was her imaginary friend. They chatted out loud to each other (especially while looking in the mirror) discussing things like which dolls to play with and whether to wake up their baby sister. This went on until about age 5, when c made more friends and gradually forgot about her secret friend.
That's not the spooky part. This is: c named her imaginary friend "Megan" and called her that throughout their play. c has since forgotten those days, but c2 didn't; she initially told us that was her name.
But what neither c nor c2 ever knew -- until this week-- was that "Megan" was an early name their parents had intended for c's twin sister, who miscarried. Only K happened to know that name, and he had the difficult task of telling this whole story to c last night. What it means? Who knows.
As c and e grew, their subconsciouses say they were always there inside. "i sense everything and feel everything," c2 says. "i can move with her...sometimes it's like standing behind her ... while being inside her body."
Both young women suffered traumatic experiences. c was raped by a relative, and e endured an abusive boyfriend. Both subconsciouses say they helped to handle the experiences, and they say the incidents caused their personalities to diverge somewhat from their conscious selves. Today, e is more cautious than e2, c is not quite as limitless as c2. But neither believes the incidents "created" them.
As adults, contacts between "front" and "back" have been limited. Both "front" personalities keep things tightly under control and don't let much through. c2 has been able to influence c, sometimes by putting words in her mouth. e2 talks with e during her occasional meditations. ("What language or symbols do you use to talk to her?" "Umm ... English.")
Dreams are interesting. Both e2 and c2 usually sleep when e and c sleep, and share in whatever the conscious person is dreaming. But sometimes, they have dreams of their own, which are projected into the conscious person's sleep as well. "Sometimes my imagination runs away with me," c2 says.
But now that we've "unlocked" them, by processes apparently no more complicated than a standard hypnotic induction, e2 and c2 have taken control of all the "effects" we thought of as hypnotically induced. "It's not so difficult," e2 says.
I've mentioned before that one of my proudest hypnotic effects was to banish e's menstrual cramps. They haven't come back for months now. But if that is something that e2 actually controls, why didn't she do it years ago?
"She never thought of asking," e2 said. "She probably could have, through meditation."
It sounds like a frustrating life, always in the backseat, with the driver mostly unaware of you. But neither expresses that. Both seem satisfied as observer, voyeurs.
c2 says: "I could push myself if need be, into all aspects of her life, but it is draining for her physically and mentally. I get all I want through her. I push her when I want more. I help her through her pain barriers. But i am content to sit back."
e2 agrees, and even when pressed says she doesn't really have any annoyances with e. Except, well, she wouldn't mind more sex.
....

Fool the Eye
One reason our illusions are so effective is that they look authentic to e. She doesn't just feel the ropes, she sees them around her legs. She doesn't just taste the strawberry, she sees it in her hand. When all your senses are pulling in the same direction, your mind tends to believe. In most cases, e reports that scenes score 9 out of 10 for believability.
It wasn't always this way. I remember that the first time I gave her labial rings, she reported they were slightly transparent at first, and then greatly faded the next day. I just told her to make them stronger again, several days in a row. That seemed to work. I also remember telling her once that when she looked in the mirror she'd see my face instead of hers. What she saw instead was my face blended with hers. Apparently it's difficult to apply your makeup that way.
Why are these illusions now so clear to her? I'm not sure. But she does have a vivid imagination. And she has a very strong memory for images. I was showing her a few photos from the web, and she was able to tell me immediately which ones she'd seen before. She has a strong memory for places; she gave me a narrated walk around her college suite one time, clearly intrigued by some of the visual memories she was recovering in the process.
Another reason her visual illusions are clear and convincing is that ... I told her so. When I'm not sure how well an effect is going to "take," I sometimes boost my odds by simply telling her that she will find it completely persuasive and real. Hey, whatever works.
The only problem comes with images of things that she's never seen before. We have this running joke about Scotland, because I once told her to go there for a few minutes. Problem is, she's never been; she had nothing to draw upon except some magazine advertisement photos in her head. She said Scotland looked very clean, tidy, immaculately composed, with perfect sheep on the hillside. ... That scene returned last week when she flew over it as a dragon. Same damn sheep.

Our First Converts
Our fondest wish in presenting this blog is that other Dom/sub couples will explore mind control too. Honestly, I think that with 10 minutes of careful talk, many Doms could have their subs diving into levels of submission that they had no idea were so close at hand.
For months, I've been urging my friends K and c to try hypnosis. They seemed perfect for it. He's creative and confident; she's trusting and limitless. But they were reluctant, I think put off by images of c turning into a useless zombie. And, as he said, she already obeyed him completely, so what was the need.
Well ... they've tried hypnosis now. And they're really impressed.
What's fascinating to me is how quickly c fell into this. The standard procedure is three parts: relax her into a light trance, deepen her into a profound trance, then start giving her instructions. In c's case, she went straight to the bottom, just from the initial relaxation.
As she tells it, all she knows is that her eyes closed. Some unknown time later they opened again, with no memory of the time away. She discovered her hands stuck behind her head, the distinct feeling that her bottom had been used, and most shocking of all, needles through her nipples, for the first time.
"I don't recall any of it. It's a strange thing. It's like I leave my body or something."
But here, let K describe it from his perspective. I doubt he even thinks of this as hypnosis, since all he did was talk her into a relaxed state until her eyes closed. And even with her eyes closed, she wasn't gone.
"She was talking to me. We had a chat, then I told her my cock was in her ass and put a vibe over her clit while I used the needles. She was talking constantly then ... you should have heard the filth coming our of her mouth.
"She took the needles in without flinching. Once they were in, I told her she had to follow everything I told her to do. She went kinda quiet and a bit giggly as I told her to touch her tits and then told her she couldn't move her hands. Her hands were pushing on the needles yet she passed no comment... Then when I told her to move them she automatically put them by her sides.
"Then I told her to put her hands behind her head and she wasn't allowed to move them. The I got her to open her eyes ... her hands never moved. When she opened her eyes and saw the needles she didn't freak out, she just didn't seem to understand how they got there. You could see the fear in her eyes when she saw the needles and could tell she was feeling pain when she started whimpering. She was so good though...didn't move her hands at all. Didn't really comment on the needles either, she just stared at them... then her eyes rose and she just stared at me ... I must admit, that look of fear and confusion was hot. Later she told me she was terrified when she saw them, but her mind told her not to comment."
K didn't realize that c also had "felt" the after-effects of the phantom anal sex. "That is cool," he said.
"I'm not sure how far along this road I want to take things with her, but I will admit it's an interesting game to play."
...

Secret Plans for My Slave
She doesn't know it, but sometime in the next couple of days e is going to walk into the bathroom and turn into a man. Convinced that she is male, she will stand in front of the toilet and pee into it. Then she'll masturbate to orgasm with her new cock. Then she'll step over to the sink, wash her hands, immediately turn back into herself and remember the whole plan.
This will become part of her daily routine: At noon, whenever she's at home, she'll repeat this ceremony, in her temporary new body. She'll let you know how it feels, I'm sure.
This addition to her daily "compulsions" comes after the suggestion of one of our readers. We worked out the logistics last night, and I installed the instructions. Then I asked her if she wanted the whole thing to be a surprise. She said yes, so ... I wiped her memory of the discussion.
(She's unable to read this entry -- except for the teasing title -- because I've planted that rule too.)
A lot goes into planning something like this. For instance, she doesn't want to wet on the floor, so while her mind is standing facing the bowl, her body will be (mindlessly?) going through its usual routine. She wants to be convinced she's a man, not a woman inside a man's body. So this effect won't occur out in public, for fear that she'd walk into a men's restroom.
I expect we'll find some other things to tweak after the first few days. Stay tuned.

Messing with Memory
It's a standard stage hypnotist trick: The subject wakes up, feeling alert, still not sure about this hypnosis stuff. "OK, now count to 10 on your fingers." But it's hard to do that, when you've forgotten the existence of the number 6.
That's a key moment, when the new subject first feels lost and puzzled, suddenly suspecting that the hypnotist really can take over mental control. The hypnotist restores the number, the subject is relieved, then the hypnotist plunges them deep into trance again, with some confidence that any natural resistance to hypnotic suggestion will have been weakened.
Messing with your sub's memory... something not to be done lightly ... turns out to be one of the subtler and yet more powerful effects you can have. Personally, e and I usually play with just recent, fairly irrelevant memories, to be safe. But after you've altered, removed, restored and even constructed your sub's history a few times, she'll come to think of you as being in charge of such fundamental things as "did that really happen" and "is that really the time?"
OK, examples.
* In one of our very first sessions, I removed the number 6, with the usual results. e was puzzled, but not all that impressed. She never liked numbers that much anyway. Then... I removed her middle name. That got her attention.
* In another post, she's written about her intense need to pee every even-numbered hour, precisely on the hour. One time, when she'd just returned from doing so, I told her to forget the preceding five minutes. Suddenly it was just one minute to the hour... and her bladder was bursting again, the urge to go unstoppable. After nearly a minute of this torture, I restored her memory of those five minutes, and the urge evaporated again with the return to standard time.
* One morning, as part of a relaxation exercise, she slipped a large candle into her bottom. She was happily humping it when I abruptly removed 10 minutes of memory. She stopped dead... went very quiet... and in a pale voice asked, "uhhhh, how did that get there?"
* "Sometime today you will get your long, flexible dildo, put one end in your ass and the other end in your pussy, and fuck both holes at the same time. You will then forget about this entirely, until I tell you to remember." She giggled when the memory flooded back, a few hours later.
* Memory wipes are a convenient tool for maintaining consent rules. We've negotiated some fairly edgy scenes, then I've removed her memory of the discussion, so when it occurs it's a complete surprise to her.
* When she carries out some humiliating public act, like the time she removed her bra and panties in the mall food court and set them on the table beside her, I usually remove her memory of it, and then restore it a few days or hours later, so she can relive the fresh, delicious shame all over again.
* I'm proudest of the memories that I've completely invented for her. I guess the idea of installing apparently permanent thoughts in a person's brain appeals to me. You have to be reasonable with these. I told her that she'd bought a Corona at a particular store one night, but she just got a sudden quizzical look, and said, "Huh, that makes no sense." Turns out she knew that store didn't sell Coronas. I've had better luck since then, installing memories that she absorbs with no comment, but refers to weeks later in passing.
I'm sure we'll mention other memory-bending examples in other posts, so you can see how we mix it in with other effects.
Meanwhile, whenever something outrageous occurs now, she almost immediately asks me, meekly, "Did that really happen?" She's losing the ability to tell for sure, when I'm involved. She comes to me for her reality checks. Sometimes you just have to trust people.
